On Wednesday August 13th Colleen, Erv, Laurie and I went on a day trip to British Columbia. We first drove to Blaine Washington to drop of Gabby at Doggie Day Camp. Then it was off to the border. The border was easily crossed as we were there early in the day ad there was only one vehicle ahead of us. Then it was off to Surrey and the King Edward Sky Train Station. We all bought day trip tickets and proceeded to wait for the train to take us to Vancouver.
The trip to Vancouver took about 45 minutes and it was very loud. There were 18 stops along the way and we noticed that through the countryside in many of the parks there were many homeless encampments. Also noticeable were all the high rise apartment/condominiums that were around and more being built.
Once we reached the end of the line we made the short jaunt to the SeaBus which was actually more like a people ferry that took us across the Burrard inlet and the market area.
