On Sunday June 22nd we made it to Jameson Lake in Eastern Washington. A very remote location. No cell service or internet. Luckily we have our Starlink so we are not out of touch with the world if needed. The nearest town is 20 miles away, Coulee city, home of the Grand Coulee Dam.
Fun with friends
After setting up Phil Van Horn drove up from his cabin about 15 miles away. After hugs and howdies he led us to his property and we spent a few hours having brews and catching up. While there we saw Jeff and Kim Stegriy and Kord and Laurie Loftus.
Day two more old friends drove in. John Nelson, Tom Zacher, Mike and Sandy Etue, Rick and Martina Vahlberg, Brent Zottman and John and Denise Hudspeth. Lot's of hugging and catching up was the dictates of the day. Day three consisted of allot of fishing and enjoying the great weather.
Day three consisted of allot of fishing and enjoying the great weather. Lots of adult beverages were consumed. Late afternoon we all trekked over to Phil's property and more beverages and catching up was the norm.
The Hudspeth's surprised us all by bringing Moose Tomahawk, Elk backstrap and beef from their stock and we had a huge BBQ. Others included their own savory foods, salads and the like. It was awesome. We went late into the night before turning in. Pretty good for us old farts, ha ha.
Day four was our last day together. We spent the time still catching up and even got in a little more fishing. We were the last of the crew to leave the campground. We all agreed we should do this again next year. We’ll see how that develops.
