After leaving Jameson Lake our next stop was Thousand Trails RV Campgrounds in Bow Lake Washington. Upon arriving and checking in we traversed to our assigned campsite. What we saw getting there did not make us very happy. There were several large divots on the right side where our entrance/exit from the coach would be. It was also severely unlevel. Topping it off was no sewer dump on the site and no access to the sky fir our Starlink.
We went back to the office to voice our displeasure and were met with an attitude of indifference. I explained that we had made the reservation quite some time earlier requesting the complete full hookup and it was accepted. The office staff told us that those reservations are handled in Chicago and they had no control over it and there was nothing they could do as there weren't any full hook up sits available for our two week stay. We had also asked the maintenance person roving the campgrounds if they could please bring some gravel to fill the ruts that were full of mud and water. He said they would, but never did.
So, trying to make the best of it we set up camp, spent an extraordinary amount of time leveling the coach and hooked up water and power. We tried to find a hole in the massive amounts of evergreens but we were on the wrong side of the road and it proved futile. Oh, and I forgot to mention that the site was perhaps 100 yards from I-5 so we were privileged to be able to take in the freeway noises.
After two days and checking in with Erv and Colleen we moved to the "Ice Wind Farm" in Lynden.
